Jeff Chmura's Team in Training PledgePage
Team in Training is the world's largest and most successful endurance-training program, comprised of people like me who are committed to making a difference in the lives of others. Since 1988 Team in Training has raised over $450 million dollars to help save the lives of leukemia and lymphoma patients.
On June 6th 2004 I'll be running the Suzuki Rock -n- Roll Marathon in San Diego, CA. Yes, that's right, I'll be running 26.2 miles continuously!! As challenging as this may sound, don't worry I will have great inspiration: I will be running for my honored teammate, Peyton. (Please see photo. That's Peyton and her 7-year-old sister Madison) Peyton lives in Baltimore and is only 3 1/2 years old. At the age of 1 she was diagnosed with Acute Myelogenous leukemia (AML), a rare form of cancer, especially in girls. Fortunately after a year and a half Peyton is in remission and enjoying many of the things a 3 year old should. It is because of the efforts of people like you and me that the survival rate for people with Leukemia has risen from 4% in 1960 to nearly 80% today. Let's help all patients; especially children like Peyton conquer Leukemia. Please sponsor Peyton and I in this Team in Training effort to defeat Leukemia, Lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease, and myeloma. Every penny counts and all donations are tax deductible. "You make a living by what you get. You make a life by what you give." - Winston Churchill |
